Welcome to The Art of Phil Kendall painted in The Art Studio of Meltemi.
The Art of Phil Kendall is about sharing a vision of places found while exploring the world. Join him in seeing just a little of the world through his eyes.

His is the world of the tourist. Those impressive places are littered with people, street architecture, TV aerials, advertising hoardings, parked vehicles, wires, pylons, trees and so on. Frequently with the lighting from the 'wrong direction' and there is no time to stop and wait. These are just some of the factors that detract from those personal souvenir photographs.

His passion is to recreate some of his souvenir photographs as hand painted works of art on canvas. this he accomplishes in the peaceful solitude of his UK based Art Studio of Meltemi. That tedious manipulation of digital images he leaves to those who design those sanitised images found in travel brochures.
